Eagulls – “Acrostical” & “Council Flat Blues

Leeds quintet Eagulls make a shambling racket akin to No Age doubling up with a studlier Cloud Nothings — or something older and scuzzy from the ’90s Pacific Northwest. They lean into their instruments, but keeping the vocals buried within the feedback doesn’t lessen the anthemics. See, for instance, the B-Side of their forthcoming debut “Council Flat Blues” single.
