The Tomboy news cycle’s gaining momentum: After learning last week that Noah Lennox’s followup to Person Pitch comes out in April and adding details about Sonic Boom’s production presence , there’s now a tracklisting. It doesn’t look like “ Atiba Song ” made the cut, unless the song appears under a different name (“Surfer’s Hymn”?).

No one knows what the future of the music business will look like, but the near future of listening to music looks a lot like 1960. People will listen, for free, to music that comes out of a stationary box that sits indoors.

The New Pornographers’s Together comes out today, and they just debuted the first video for previously-sampled single “ Your Hands (Together) .” Vancouver’s Hybrid Movement group provided the martial arts/ gymnastics/fight-inspired choreograph, and Pornographer Blaine Thurier directed.

The Places Between: The Best of Doves comes out next week (April 20 in the U.S.), and it has three new songs among its 33 tracks. New single “Andalucia” is a climbing Britpop song equally invested in the melancholy comedown — meaning, it doesn’t stray too far from past Doves material.

The National’s meaner Boxer followup, officially titled High Violet, comes out 5/11 via 4AD. You’ll probably catch some of the new songs on their spring tour.

Today, Cock and Swan 's new album, Unrecognize , comes out as a digital release. We're not even two months into the year, so I should probably hold off on declaring it album of year, but it's hard… (in post New Album From Cock and Swan! from Letters With Mixtapes . )
